December Reading Wrap-Up

December Reading Wrap-Up

I was able to squeeze in ten books in this last month of the year, with a good mix of backlist and upcoming 2014 titles. Though I’ve only posted reviews for two so far, you’ll see several of these reviewed over the next few weeks.

The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida (review)
Careless People by Sarah Churchwell
The Lion Seeker by Kenneth Bonert (review)
The Martian by Andy Weir
Every Man Dies Alone by Hans Fallada
Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner
Men We Reaped by Jesmyn Ward
This Dark Road to Mercy by Wiley Cash
Pulphead by John Jeremiah Sullivan
The First True Lie by Marina Mander

Though I’ve been a little underwhelmed by a few of my 2014 books so far, I was totally blown away by most of the backlist books I dug up from my shelves…including my favorite for the month, Crossing to Safety

I’m putting together all of my 2013 stats for tomorrow’s big end of the year post, so if you feel like getting geeky (charts and all!) make sure to stop by.
