April Reading Wrap-Up

Finally! After a few months of feeling rather slumpy with my reading, I feel like I’ve finally hit a good groove…and not just in terms of numbers. I definitely read more than usual this month, thanks mostly to Dewey’s Readathon, but the big change is that I really loved several of these books. Unfortunately, most of the ones I loved are May releases, so it will still be a few days until I can rave about them. But expect some flailing – I think May is going to be pretty good.

  • Wild by Cheryl Strayed
  • The Word Exchange by Alena Graedon
  • We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
  • All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld
  • Steal the North by Heather Brittain Bergstrom
  • Chop Chop by Simon Wroe
  • Lovers at the Chameleon Club by Francine Prose
  • Anything That Moves by Dana Goodyear
  • Ruby by Cynthia Bond
  • An Untamed State by Roxane Gay

What am I looking forward to in May? I can’t believe BEA is less than a month away. While I’m excited about (what I hear will be) an exhausting few days of bookmania, I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be able to meet all the bloggers that will be there.

What were the best books you read in April?
