So, its June, huh? Somehow I went about doing all the start of the month things without actually absorbing the fact that we’re halfway through the year now. I don’t have very many books lined up to review for the next few months, so it’s been great to make giant hold lists at the library and catch up on titles I’ve been wanting to read. I’m so glad I listened to Canadian bloggers like Naomi at Consumed by Ink and picked up Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis—SO GOOD. I’m following more of her advice (and that of many, many others!) in moving on to reading Us Conductors by Sean Michaels next. I’m also about to jump into I Saw a Man by Owen Sheers, which sounds like it could be a bit of a knockout in the best way—we’ll see!
I shared my thoughts on A God in Ruins over at The Socratic Salon last week, where we have a good discussion going for those who have read the book. This week we’re talking about audiobooks and have a discussion of All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld coming up if you’d like to stop by!
