It’s definitely a happy Monday, you guys. The GRE is officially over (and decently passed), which means I just have to tie up a few loose ends on my grad school application. By November 1st, everything will be turned in and I’ll just have the task of waiting. We’re still hoping everything will fall into place with our house, but that’s a whole other realm of nonsense filled with much more waiting.
The upside is that, thanks to the Readathon over the weekend, I feel like I’m regaining my reading focus. I was able to get through four (short) books on Saturday, including The Glacier by Jeff Wood, Accidental Saints by Nadia Bolz-Weber, Notorious RBG by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik, and Radioactive by Lauren Redniss. I absolutely loved Notorious RBG and Radioactive, and was surprised by how much information both packed into small, accessible spaces (they would be perfect picks for the upcoming Nonfiction November). Now I’m moving on to Unfinished Business by Anne-Marie Slaughter, which is already pretty highlight-worthy.
