I’m lucky enough to have a three day weekend this week, but today is a little busier than the relaxing day I’d like it to be. My family is coming down from Michigan in a few days, so we’re getting our house ready for guests and I’m trying to wrap up a bit of the work I need to get done to enjoy my time with them later. Expect pictures of Richmond-y things and my cute nephew on Instagram and Snapchat.
I’m not sure how much time I’ll have for reading over the next week, what with being the hostess with the mostess and all, but I was able to square away some time with my books over the weekend. Earlier this week I gobbled up a short story collection called Know the Mother by Desiree Cooper, which is just as good as it’s fabulous cover. And over the last two days I’ve been lost in Charlotte Wood’s The Natural Way of Things, an Australian novel I’ve been desperately looking forward to that is totally living up to expectations.
